In a series of drawings on black paper I traced the countours of land amidst modification, either architectural or road-based development. If alongside a highway, these areas were illuminated by passing headlights, which leave momentary impressions on the eye and memory. Instead of taking photographs of these sites I would cumulatively add to a drawing, each time I passed the site and trace the remembered facets of moving or transitioning materials.
