Emerging as the first lifeforms in a post-fire ecosystem, these imagined organisms fuse human appendages with mycelial and carnivorous pitcher plant forms. Fluorescent colors, reminiscent of thermal gradient maps, trace connections between rising temperatures and shifting patterns of habitability. The BioOrchestra’s forms secrete vibrant pigments, mimicking sound as an act of attraction, while their sensory-driven digestive systems remain dehydrated—a metaphor for the precarious balance of survival in altered environments.

The accompanying work, Conductor Cues a Blaze, centers a pair of gestural hands, cast in layered minerals and cradled within the hollow of a charred log.
