I love it here. 2015

I love it here, was a site-specific drawing in 3M reflective tape installed over boarded up dooble-doors of a speculative investment home in West Point Grey, Vancouver in summer 2015. Produced by Ground Gallery (Vancouver 2015), the exhibition was created to respond to a vacant mansions and a deeply inflated real estate market in Vancouver. Using these archival images from the pre-sale advertisements for this house, which featured a french door entrance, the 3M tape drawing recreated a ghost of the original entrance, refracting in high vis lines. The vacant house, boarded up and accumulating mould, is currently listed at ten million dollars.  I love it here, is a sticky reflection on property, value, illusions and rot.
