I love it here. 2015

I love it here,
is an illegal site-specific drawing in 3M reflective tape installed for an exhibition produced by Ground Gallery. The exhibition was created to respond to a vacant mansion in West Point Grey, Vancouver. The doors outlined, trace the original entrance of the home–found on the realtors pre-sale listing–which featured photographs of the original french door entrance. Using these archival images, the drawing recreated a ghost of the original entrance, refracting in high vis lines. The vacant “house”, boarded up and accumulating mould, is currently listed at a value above ten million dollars.
I love it here, is intended as a reflection on the concept of property, how value is attributed within a property framework, and haunted space.
