Monoprints. Ink on paper through gauze. 11”x 14”

During a residency in Prince George British Columbia, I was developing a process of monoprinting using guaze as both a printing and saturation tool. The work evolved from considering an abstract mapping process that responded to the ways in which early cartographies were created to demarcate cities and towns, while sifting through these perspectives other perceptions may arise in the viewing of abstract forms. Other possible representations are provided by the use of gauze, ink and paper.
